Once again, our donors amaze us

Summary of Give Local results for 2021 and past years

Once again, Robotics And Beyond exceeded it’s prior year Give Local donations during this wonderful, 36 hour campaign organized by Connecticut Community Foundation. Our goal was $5,000, aiming to beat last year’s gifts of $4,140. We topped our goal by $25 and received another $300 in donations after the event closed. We expect another $900 in estimated foundation and employer match, for a grand total of $6,225. This is a 42% increase over last year  and a new all-time record for us in this event.

Give Local totals for the Greater Waterbury and Litchfield Hills region:

$2,081,667 in total donations, from 6,753 donors to 282 non-profits. That is $267,638 (15%) above last year’s record and 267 more donors (4%) than the 2020 record of 6,486.

Over the last 15 months, we and many other non-profits held multiple fundraisers to help meet the challenges caused by the pandemic. In spite of that, supporters came through again in a big way setting a record high of $2, 081, 667 donated to the Greater Litchfield Hills Give Local event and the 282 organizations that participated. Details are below for this and the prior 8 years of the event. Robotics And  Beyond, our community, and our entire region is truly blessed with such recognition and support. These non-profits serve countless individuals, thousands of families, and the environment, and every measure of support benefits each and every member of our society.

RESULTS FOR 2021 AND ALL PRIOR YEARS

(Total gifts resulting from 9 years of Give Local events: approx. $32,000.)

2021: $5,325 to Robotics And Beyond from 32 donors, plus an est. $300 in foundation match and $600 in employer match ($6,25 total). Total event donations were $2,081,667 from 6,753 donors to 282 non-profits; new records for both measures.

2020: $4,140 to Robotics And Beyond from 43 donors plus an est. $250 in foundation match. Total event donations were $1,814,029 from 6,486 donors for 250 non profits; both huge increases over any other year.

2019: $2,560 from 26 donors plus $260 in foundation match. $1,364,751 total raised for the region from 4,494 donors for 261 non-profits.

2018:  $3,695 from 27 donors for RAB plus $1,000 prizes + $400 approximate foundation match.  $1,381,617 total raised for the region from 3,735 separate donors.

2017:  $1,950 from 25 donors for RAB plus $1,250 matching awards + $208 foundation match; $1,307,590 total for the region.

2016:  $2,575 from 21 donors for RAB + $270 foundation match; $1,200,000 total for region.

2015:  $6,015 from 13 donors for RAB + $720 foundation match; $819,463 total for region.

2014:  $675 from 9 donors for RAB + $70 foundation match; $373,000 total for region.

2013:  $1,115 from 15 donors for RAB + $110 foundation match; $520,000 total for region.
